I'm Back !!

Long delay in posts was because my Macbook was broken, it just wouldn't start up, and when it by chance did, it would die within 2 minutes! ugh, so frustrating. It's all fixed now though :) I seriously could not live without my computer. So this is kind of a beauty/food post. I got some messages in my inbox asking what kind of beauty products I use :) That's very exciting!! And I will tell you :)

For my hair..I use Pantene Shampoo..just plain old Pantene because it seems to wok best for my hair. After I use the Pantene shampoo, I use this Leave in Conditioner
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us. I love it, it makes my hair sooo soft. And because I have mega frizzy hair, I also use this, Bumble and Bumble DeFrizz Image Hosted by ImageShack.us This stuff is so amzing. It's not greasy at all!

For Foundation, I use kind of an expensive one, I didn't actually buy it myself, I got it with a gift certificate to Sephora, I seriously don't think I would ever pay $55 for a foundation myself. I use Dior Nude. Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I am in love with this foundation, best I have ever used! I use it sparingly though because it is so expensive. I don't really wear face powders, fo a blush this is what i have been using for over a year now and probably will be using it for the next 20 years! That's how much I love it. Benefits Thrrob. Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Great blusher!! and my fave lipstuff is MAC Lipglass in Prrr and Vaseline's Rosy lips. Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

So that's my basics. I generally just use Drugstore brand mascara and I'm not too much of an eyeshadow girl. If I do wear it, it's MAC eyeshadow in a very light color.

Now onto the food. I have been trying really hard to find the perfect veggie burger. I have tried so many and they have mainly all been alright, but nothing amazing. So tomorrow night I am going to attempt to make a homemade black bean burger. I got the recipe from the Whole Foods website.

Serves 6

These easy-to-assemble burgers can be shaped ahead of time and cooked off when you’re ready to eat.
Ingredients

1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 egg
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or granules
Salt and pepper to taste
Hot sauce to taste
1 to 2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
6 whole wheat hamburger buns
6 green leaf lettuce leaves
2 tomatoes, sliced
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

Method

Put beans in a large bowl and mash well with a fork. Add egg, yellow onion, bread crumbs, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, pepper and hot sauce. Mix well to combine then shape into 6 patties.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Arrange patties in a single layer (working in batches, if needed) and cook, flipping once, until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 10 minutes total. Transfer to buns, top with lettuce, tomatoes and red onions and serve.

I'll let you know how they turn out! I had 2 huge green smoothies today! I added ice cubes this time. They are even more delicious with the ice cubes. Tomorrow is another day at work :( Blah. I was thinking about pickin up some of that Amazing Grass superfood that everyone is talking about, so I can add it to my smoothies. Can anyone recommend a flavor? And let me know how they taste? thanks!! Hope you all have a great and healthy week ahead!! xoxoxxo

Hi Christina, sorry to hear about your laptop, I'm the same can't manage without it. MY internet was out for 2 days and I was in panic attack.

Love the beauty products post, I use a lot of MAC products myself.

I think the best veggie burgers/or meat burgers are homemade ones. Yours sound wonderful.

Loved hearing about all those products. You definitely seem to have all the basics covered! MAC is definitely a great line, especially for bein so inexpensive!

Sounds like a good bean burger recipe. I'm going to be posting mine later today, so be sure to check it out!

About the Amazing Grass... I've done reviews on all of the flavors, so you can search them all on my blog. But I'd say that the original Green Superfood is best if you want a basic green taste or if you want to add in any other fruits besides a banana. I wasn't too impressed by the Berry flavor, it seemed pretty chalky. The chocolate flavor was best if you DON'T want to add in fruits besides the banana and want just a HINT of chocolate. Honestly, they all have a "grassy" taste, but it's surprisingly not bad. I totally recommend them!

I love love love makeup. Always have. When I have money to spend, I run to the makeup department. And, I love spending on healthy foods and products, too! Give me a gift certificate to Whole Foods any day and I'm one happy girl!!!

My favorite makeup line is now "100% Pure" I've ordered some of their stuff through QVC and online. It's full of amazing ingredients and the wearability and colors are great. I don't like using anything with chemicals anymore, although god knows I used to use a ton of products that had unhealthy ingredients in them for most of my life, until the past 4-5 years.

OH! And, I'm a fan of Amazing Grass. Such wonderful products. I use their powdered wheat grass. Of course, none of that stuff ever tastes SUPER delish, ya know? But the nutrients are so kick-ass that I can't imagine my life without stuff like that. Although... I actually really like the taste of their energy bars (the ones covered in chocolate). Yum!

Cheers to Awesome Green Smoothies!!!
Kristen
